Criticism is a sign that you are stepping out of the ordinary, challenging the status quo, and daring to walk a different path.
Society often resists change. When you attempt something beyond the common beliefs and norms, people will search for faults. Not because you are wrong, but because you are different. It is easier for them to critique than to step beyond their own limits.
But here’s the truth: if you have critics, it means you are progressing. You may not reach greatness, but you will certainly not fade away into an unnoticed existence.
What truly terrifies me is not failure but mediocrity. I do not fear dreaming high and falling short. I fear dreaming small and achieving them, never knowing what I could have accomplished had I dared for more.
Michelangelo once said, “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” These words resonate deeply with me. Life is not meant to be lived within safe boundaries. It is meant to be an adventure of striving, failing, learning, and pushing beyond limitations.
So, I choose to aim high.
I choose to dream beyond what seems possible.
I intend to shoot for the stars, and if I miss, I may still land on the moon.
But at least, when the final chapter of my life is written, I will know that I tried—not for an average life, but for an extraordinary one.
And that, I believe, is the only way to truly live.
