Dear Brother,
As you turn 18, you have officially stepped into adulthood. Welcome to the club! But having been through this age, let me tell you—people don’t suddenly start taking you seriously just because you’ve turned 18. People listen to great ideas, no matter the age of the person who shares them. No doubt, it feels special to reach this milestone, but you’ll soon realize that age is just a number.
You are different, and that’s not rare—we all are! Yet, the tragedy of life is that we often try to fit into the world when, in reality, each of us was born to stand out. Over time, people fall into the habit of herd mentality—the tendency to follow what everyone else is doing, without questioning if it’s right for them. So, stay unique!
Stay 18 always, because the worst thing that can happen to a person is growing up and forgetting what it’s like to be a child. A child dreams fearlessly, follows what makes them happy and lives with curiosity. An adult often dismisses such dreams as foolish—simply because all other adults do. Take up responsibilities, but never lose the child within you.
Greatness isn’t something people are born with; it’s something they create. It comes from passion, perseverance and purpose—not fleeting moments of brilliance. True greatness is built over time, through relentless pursuit.
And that’s why I say: Follow your dreams. Dreams have a way of leading you to your purpose in life. Some people are lucky to discover their purpose early, but the truly great ones are those who chase their dreams and never abandon them.
May these words guide you as you step into this exciting new chapter of life. 18 is special—but so is every age, as long as you make it count.
Happy Birthday!
With love,
Your Big Brother
