The battlefield was covered in blood and smoke, filled with the bodies of fallen warriors. The air was heavy with the smell of fire and death. He stood among the ruins, his armor broken, his body bruised. His sword was chipped and dull, barely able to cut anymore. Yet, he stood firm, the last warrior left standing as the sun began to set.
Blood flowed like rivers, washing over the ground and swallowing the dead. The cries of the fallen echoed in his ears, mixing with the cawing of crows flying above. The earth beneath him was soaked with pain and loss.
For a moment, memories flashed before his eyes—his home before the war, the laughter of children, the warmth of peace. He had once fought to protect those memories. Now, he fought only to see the sunrise one last time.
Across the battlefield, his enemy stood waiting. His death had a face, a name. It was watching him, ready to strike.
Taking a deep breath, he steadied himself. His body ached, his wounds burned, but his spirit refused to break. With all the strength he had left, he raised his sword.
This was his final fight.
With broken armor and a shattered blade, he charged.
He moved without fear, without hesitation. Their swords clashed in a blur of steel and fury. Each strike carried his pain, his memories, his will to fight. He knew he would not survive, but he refused to fall without a battle.
Then, the final blow came.
He felt his body weaken as he dropped to his knees. His sword slipped from his fingers. The sky above, painted with the colors of the setting sun, seemed endless.
As darkness filled his vision, a faint smile crossed his lips.
He had fought until the end.
And that was enough.
Broken Armor
Battered and bruised,
Blood flows like wild rivers,
Drowning the dead into oblivion.
Fleeting reflections flood my vision
With promises of peace;
Yet, across the field,
My death stares back at me.
As I gather my last strength,
My last hope and courage,
Knowing well my fate,
I rush ahead.
With broken armor and a shattered sword,
I charge...
For one last fight.
